Trieste Day 1

Hey everyone!  Sorry for the lack of blogging lately, but Donovan and I were on vacation!  Okay, we were only gone for two nights, but it still counts as vacation in my book.  Donovan hasn't had a day off in nearly a month, so we really needed to get away and spend some time relaxing.  We stayed on the coast in Trieste, which is about a two and a half hour drive away.

Here's a look at what we did our first day there...

First off, we toured the Castello di Miramare. 

Yeah, not really a bad place to live. 

We also toured the inside, but weren't able to take pictures.  We did see a couple jellyfish in the water though, as well as a ton of fish.

After the castle, we spent the rest of the day walking along the water and laying in the sun.  With pizza for lunch and a late-night gelato run, the day turned out marvelous!
