Trieste Day 2 and Slovenia

For our second (and last) day of vacay, we explored downtown Trieste.  In all honesty, we didn't find it that exciting, but maybe that's because Donovan's just not the type to walk around and look at old buildings.  Plus it was Sunday, so a lot of the museums and other places that would have been interesting were closed.  We did walk around for a little while though, until we got bored and decided to just get some gelato.

Trieste is right on the border of Slovenia, so after we were done in town we couldn't resist driving across the border to check things out.  We randomly picked a town to stop at and ended up in Koper.  The water was gorgeous, but the town is a stop for cruise ships so it was pretty touristy.

After a little jaunt through downtown, it was back in the car for the drive home.  All in all, a fun and relaxing couple of days!
