Thanksgiving in London

Ciao ciao everyone!  Or should I say cheerio?  I spent Thanksgiving weekend exploring the beautiful city of London with a few awesome friends.  (I know Thanksgiving was awhile ago, but better late then never, right?)  We had a wonderful experience, and I think we all fell in love with the city as soon as we stepped out of the train station.

A good chunk of our time was spent doing the typical touristy stuff, such as seeing Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, etc.   We also did our fair share of drinking tea and eating fish and chips.  Because obviously, that's the best part of London.

The highlight of the trip, for me at least, was Westminster Abbey.  The pictures really don't do it justice, but it was the most beautiful, most majestic church I've ever seen.

We also swung by Buckingham Palace, which, if I'm being honest, was kind of a letdown.

And yes, that is the balcony where "The Kiss" occurred.  We also saw the London Eye...

And Big Ben...

Our last day in town was spent at the Tower of London.  The history of this place is incredible, and it's tough to wrap your mind around everything that took place there.

This next photo shows the spot where Anne Boleyn, among many others, was executed.

And lastly, a girl's trip to London wouldn't be complete without a visit to Harrods.  I couldn't afford to buy anything, but it was certainly gorgeous in all it's Christmas splendor.
