Springtime in the Veneto

Hi everybody!  Prepare to be inundated by blog posts in the next few days...we have a lot to catch up on!  To begin, we had the pleasure of Donovan's dad visiting us for a couple weeks in April.  His visit overlapped with block leave, so we were able to spend a lot of vacation time together.

First priority, stocking up on wine.

Enomas Muraro is one of our local wineries.  The best part about it?  For a little over a euro, you can fill up a liter jug.  Cheap and delicious.

We also strolled through downtown Vicenza and ducked into a few cappuccino shops to dodge the Spring showers.

Donovan bought me some flowers to liven up the house for Spring.

And Donovan and Rob went for a very rainy hike in Lumignano, just a short ten minute drive from our house.

After spending a few days in Vicenza, we decided to venture off to Arco (near Lake Garda) and hopefully dodge the rainy season a little there.  More about that in the next post!
